Practical Aspects of Botanical Art
Whether or not you decide to pursue botanical art as a business, knowing standard practices will be useful. In these two sessions, you will learn the basics of dealing with galleries and artists' reps, including pricing, contracts and sales agreements; how/when to sell certain rights, how to market your work including best options for promotional printing (business cards, exhibition postcards, booklets) and making products, as well as licensing. How to prepare for entering an exhibition or developing your own one-person show will round out the concepts.
