The Education of a Gardener: A Life in Gardening
" I think I may be a better person for having given serious time and thought and effort to gardening."

Martha Stewart's lifelong love of gardening began as she planted alongside her father in their backyard family plots. Those early lessons, along with the advice she's gleaned from master gardeners and plantsmen, and her extensive travels to historic gardens around the world—all form the foundation of her development as a serious gardener. Her wide-ranging, thoughtful approach to design, planting, sustainability, and landscape can be seen in the spectacular yet diverse gardens she has created, which include Turkey Hill in Connecticut, the historic Skylands on Maine's Mount Desert Island, and the 150-acre Cantitoe Farm in Katonah, New York.
