While studying fine art at the School of Visual Arts, Susan Sapanara happened to take a textile design class that influenced her career for many years. She has designed for such names as Croscill, Laura Ashley, Echo, and Waterford, and her designs have been sold in Macy's; Bloomingdales; and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, to name a few. Her love of painting natural subjects lead her to attend NYBG where she earned a Certificate in Botanical Illustration with Honors. Her works have been juried into several American Society of Botanical Artist International Exhibitions and recognized in local art association and society shows.
