Maria Colletti, author of Terrariums: Gardens under Glass is working on her second book, Living Decor: Botanical-Styling your Indoor Greenery and Houseplants publishing in the Fall of 2018. Maria spent 13 years at NYBG as the Store Manager of Shop in the Garden, where she perfected her craft! She currently teaches indoor gardening craft classes at NYBG Adult Education. Maria has degrees in Horticulture and Anthropology.
Maria has been featured in a radio interview by NPR's You Bet Your Garden host, Mike McGrath. Articles highlighting her book have appeared in Country Gardens, Bungalows & Cottages magazine, as well as online at HGTV and Architectural Digest websites. In June 2016, Maria was a featured presenter and terrarium demonstrator at Country Living Magazine Fair in Rhinebeck, NY.
Maria has lectured for garden clubs in New Canaan, CT, Sands Point, Long Island, NY, and at the Rye Yacht Club, NY. She works seasonally with Terrain of Westport, Connecticut, an upscale gardening store of Anthropologie. Past professional positions include Manhattan Midtown Manager for a Plantscaping firm, maintaining large indoor atriums including the Guggenheim Museum and ABC TV studios.
