Asuka Hishiki
Asuka Hishiki A native of Japan, Asuka Hishiki holds a Master of Fine Arts from Kyoto City University of Arts where she studied oil painting. In 2014, she was awarded the gold medal at the NYBG Triennial, Weird, Wild & Wonderful, where her "Kind-Hearted Monster" graced the cover of the exhibition catalog. Hishiki's work has been shown around the world, including at the Hunt Institute, Royal Botanic Garden Kew, and the National Tropical Botanic Garden in Hawaii. She's had a solo show at the Arsenal Gallery in Central Park and this fall her work appears in two New York juried exhibitions - ASBA's 20th Annual International and the NYBG Triennial.
