Kurt Morrell
Kurt Morrell Kurt Morrell, A.P. Farm Associate Vice President for Landscape Operations, is responsible for the planning, planting, and maintenance of the Garden's 250-acre historic landmark landscape, including its arboretum collections, Ross Conifer Arboretum, Benenson Ornamental Conifers, Azalea Garden, and Stone Mill landscape among others. Among his many responsibilities are: the management and care of over 90 acres of lawns; the maintenance of all equipment used in the landscape; plant health care for all the living collections and gardens in a manner that is as sustainable as possible; supervising the Green Materials Recycling Center which recycles all plant material grown at the Garden to produce mulches, compost, and soil used throughout the landscape, gardens, and greenhouses. Kurt graduated from the Garden's School of Professional Horticulture and began his career at the Garden as a gardener working to maintain the turf and grounds.
