Creative Pruning - 173GAR239
What distinguishes a good garden from a great one? Exceptional pruning. Move beyond the basics into more creative techniques like pyramids, espaliers, curved hedges, knot gardens, and cloud pruning- and be inspired to use them in your garden. In class, we'll explore glorious private and public gardens from Sissinghurst to Great Dixter, and the chateau gardens of the French Dordogne. Then we'll stroll select NYBG gardens to see how shrubs are clipped with creative flair and to learn how you can achieve similar results. Class is held rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and bring lunch. Pruning: How, When, and Where or basic pruning skills strongly recommended.
