Dry Brush Workshop with Asuka Hishiki: Pears with Leaves - 182BIL615
Take advantage of this special opportunity to learn the traditional botanical watercolor technique of dry brush with internationally renowned botanical artist Asuka Hishiki who has shown her work at the Hunt Institute, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the National Tropical Botanic Garden in Hawaii. "Dry brush" allows you to gradually build up layers of paint with small brushstrokes until the desired density of color and tone is achieved. In this two-day session, you'll work with a single subject and its varied surfaces and textures, developing the delicate, controlled brushwork required for this subtle, masterly effect.
